EGSC Convocation set for August 16

East Georgia State College (EGSC) will host Convocation Tuesday, August 16. The event will be held on the Swainsboro campus in the auditorium of the Luck Gambrell Building from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Convocation is held each year to celebrate the start of the new academic year and to welcome new students and returning faculty to campus. New EGSC students are encouraged to attend the event and returning students are also welcomed to attend.
Everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear EGSC colors for a group photo that will be taken at 3 p.m. before the start of the program. During the event alumni will speak to the students and new EGSC students will receive Bobcat swag and their first EGSC pin. An ice cream social will be held at the end of the event.
Transportation will be provided for any new students at the EGSC-Statesboro and EGSC-Augusta locations. To reserve a ride, students must sign up at the front desk of their campus.
