Purpose and Functions
The purpose of the committee is to provide oversight and guidance to the First Class First Year Experience (First Class) initiative. Its functions are to recommend policies and procedures as necessary and proper to accomplish its purpose, provide information dissemination to the college concerning the initiative and to make recommendations concerning long range planning, program expansion and budgetary allocations.

- Faculty representative from School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (elected);
- Social Sciences representative from School of Humanities and Social Sciences (elected);
- Representative from Academic Center for Excellence appointed by Director of Learning Commons;
- Director of Admissions;
- Director of Learning Commons;
- Director of Counseling and Disability Services;
- Director of Housing;
- Director of Student Conduct;
- Director of Student Life;
- Library Director;
- Registrar; and
- Chief of Police.
