The links on the EGC Library webpage are categorized under 5 sections and provide access to most of the resources and services in the Library. The two links you will use the most are:

GIL@EGC (which is a link on GALILEO) is EGC's online catalog and provides access to print (books) and media (videos, CDs) holdings.

• To become acquainted with GIL, go to the Search for Books section and select the link to the Online Library Learning Center, Unit 6.

• Although you have to visit the Library to check out print and media items, any books provided by the vendor NetLibrary are e books (electronic books) and can be read online. It is not necessary to create a personal account for checkout; however, users may wish to create an account in order to use personalization tools available in NetLibrary, including creating a Favorites list. From the NetLibrary homepage select the link to "Create a Free Account," located in the top right-hand corner of the page.

GALILEO, the University System of Georgia's virtual library, provides access to over 230 databases, many of which are full text.

• Access to GALILEO requires a password, so use the link "Get the GALILEO Password" (under Search for Books) to learn EGC's password.

• To become acquainted with GALILEO, go to the Search for Articles section and select the link to the Online Library Learning Center, Unit 5.
