Welcome to East Georgia State College and congratulations on your acceptance!
Now comes the part when we really get to know each other! We are East Georgia State College – and it’s our job and our passion – to ease the transition to EGSC for both you and your family. We aim to make sure that you are well prepared for the academic and social life that awaits when you come to campus. We’ll also help you negotiate orientation, registration, advisement, housing options, and move-in for on-campus students. We have a staff of professionals and current faculty that work together to make sure that your transition into college life is as smooth as possible.

- New Augusta Students - July 16th, August 8th @ 9:00am and 1:00pm

- June 28th @ 8:00am and 12:00pm
- July 12th, July 19th, July 26th @ 9:00am
- August 2nd, August 9th @ 8:00am and 12:00pm
- New Swainsboro Students - June 25th, July 10th, July 17th, July 25th, July 31st, August 13th @ 10:00am
- Evening Students (Swainsboro & Statesboro) - June 25th, August 13th @ 4:30pm
Please note that Orientation is mandatory for ALL incoming students to East Georgia State College regardless of campus attending (exceptions include Dual Enrolled, Transients, Former Students, and Non-Degree Seeking students). Incoming new students that fail to attend Orientation will be allowed to only register for classes during the late registration process, which means you may not be able to get the course or professor you were hoping for. A hold will be placed on your student record requiring attendance at a ‘late’ orientation program with the date of event to be determined by the Admissions Office. Students will be required to attend an ONE P.A.W.S. Orientation date at the campus that they will be attending. However, due to limited spacing, students are allowed to only bring ONE guest.
The P.A.W.S. Orientation program is for YOUR benefit to help you to be the most successful student you can be! In order to attend Orientation and register for classes you must be accepted to East Georgia State College. If you have not been accepted, you will need to check your admissions status to see what outstanding requirements you have that may be preventing your file from being complete or if any COMPASS testing must occur. We no longer test students for the COMPASS at Orientation so you must test prior to attending an Orientation date . Upon acceptance, you can select the "Register for P.A.W.S. Orientation" link above and then select which Orientation session you will be attending. We look forward to having you become part of the EGSC family!
