To renew a book checked out to you, you must first log in to your library account. You can access this by going to the "My Library Account" link on the EGSC Library homepage, or by going to GIL and clicking on "My Account". Once there, login by entering your last name, EGSC Catcard number, and your library PIN number (if you do not know this, click the "Get My PIN button and it will be emailed to your EGSC email account).
Once logged in to your account, click on "Checked Out Items". Choose the item you would like to renew and click in the box to the left of its title. When you have clicked boxes for all the items you wish to renew, click on the Renew button at the bottom of the list. When your request has been processed, the system will return to the top of your account information screen. You then can scroll down your list of items to make sure that all items have been renewed. You should always perform this check since some items may not be eligible for renewal.
You cannot renew your items online if:
•The item is being recalled for another patron
•Your account is restricted for some reason (ie: unpaid library fines or a hold on your school account)
•The item has already been renewed twice online.
In the last case, please bring the book to the Circulation Desk at the EGSC Library and staff will renew the item and reset the cycle so it can be renewed online two more times. If you can't determine why you can't renew an item, please check with a library staff member.
