Founded in 1973 and located on a 207-acre campus in Swainsboro, East Georgia College, formerly known as Emanuel County Junior College, is a fully accredited two-year unit of the University System of Georgia, providing a wide range of credit and non-credit academic programs and an environment for intellectual and cultural growth in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, and various health disciplines. In addition to the main campus, the college is a member of the consortium which administers and offers courses at the Statesboro Center in Statesboro, Georgia. The college offers programs of study leading to the Associate of Arts and the Associate of Applied Science degrees as well as one-year programs.

East Georgia College is a two-year college operated by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. The college opened its doors in September, 1973, and is one of fifteen two-year colleges among the thirty-five colleges and universities comprising the University System.

Travel Instructions To East Georgia College Swainsboro Campus

From Savannah:  I-16 North to exit 90; right on US Highway 1; travel approximately 10.2 miles; turn right on US Highway 1 Business Route/ GA 4 Business Route; travel approximately 2.6 miles to Meadowlake Parkway (second traffic light); turn right on Meadowlake Parkway; travel approximately 1 mile to Lambs Bridge Road; continue across Lambs Bridge Road (you will see our sign across the road) and take first left; this is the entrance road to East Georgia College; follow this road until you reach the main campus.

From Augusta: US Highway 1 South, through Wrens, Louisville, Wadley to Swainsboro. At Swainsboro Bypass, take US Highway 1 Business Route / GA 4 Business Route and continue through town on Highway 1 Business Route / GA 4 Business Route approximately 5.5 miles to Meadowlake Parkway (sixth traffic light); turn left on Meadowlake Parkway; travel approximately 1 mile to Lambs Bridge Road; continue across Lambs Bridge Road (you will see our sign across the road) and take first left; this is the entrance road to East Georgia College; follow this road until you reach the main campus.
 

Travel Instructions to East Georgia College Statesboro Campus

From Savannah:  I-16 Northwest to exit 127; right on GA-67 (Fair Road); travel approximately 11.1 miles; East Georgia College Statesboro Campus is on your left, 0.3 mile past the intersection with Veterans Memorial Parkway.

From Atlanta: I-75 South to I-16; I-16 South to exit 116; left onto US-301 North; travel approximately 9.2 miles then turn right on US-301 Bypass/Veterans Memorial Parkway; travel approximately 2.3 miles and turn left on GA-67 (Fair Road); travel 0.3 mile to East Georgia College Statesboro Campus on your left.

From Augusta: US-25 South approximately 72.3 miles; turn right on US-25 Bypass/Veterans Memorial Parkway; travel approximately 7.2 miles; turn left on GA-67 (Fair Road); travel 0.3 mile to East Georgia College Statesboro Campus on your left.
