·         Have you seen TI’s latest – the “TI-Nspire” handheld?  View a demo at www.ti-nspire.com.  TI-Nspire learning technology includes handhelds and computer software.  Grasp the math with multiple representations of a problem that can be dynamically linked together.  The TI-Nspire also comes with a snap-in TI-84 Plus SE keypad – two calculators in one package.  Tutorials for the new handheld are already available including www.atomiclearning.com/ti_nspire.  Your Passion, Our Technology, Student Success. 

 

·         How about www.timiddlegrades.com, a brand new site for middle school and junior high activities and information.  Sign up to receive free middle grades math and science activities.  The materials and lesson plans will support both the TI-73 Explorer and TI-83/4 Plus graphing calculator for instruction.
 

·         Looking for some creative funding ideas to help your students to purchase their own personal TI graphing calculator.  Try www.education.ti.com/us/techinhand.  We have some exciting and easy ways to help you get started – submitted by educators for educators.

·         TI now has a parent/student website at www.84silver.com.   The website provides tutorial information for students, contests, and a variety of information for parents.  Resources are also available at this site for campus open house activities and parent nights.   And now… check out 84 Silver GraphiTI – create, print, and share your own personalized graphing calculator stickers.   You gotta see this!    
 

·         TI’s new Algebra website is now “up and running”.  A free subscription for Algebra I and Algebra II classroom activities is available at the website along with additional Algebra resources.  Tune your computer to www.tialgebra.com.   Past activities are archived at the site for your convenience.  Graphic Calculator Use and Achievement 

 

·         Texas Instruments also has a wide variety of online tutorials and you can find additional graphing calculator tutorials at www.hotmath.com, www.atomiclearning.com/ti_84, and www.esc4.net/math.      
 

·         Need some resources and lessons for geometry?  Try www.tigeometry.com.  Check out the free subscription and receive a new geometry activity weekly by email.  The Cabri Jr. APP will work on both the TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus graphing calculator.    

 

·         Numerous grant writing resources can be found at www.education.ti.com/grants.   Funding resource information is also available and information to help and support grant writing is available www.education.ti.com/funding.

   

·         WOW!!!  Check out TI’s new “Event” calendar.  Visit www.education.ti.com/us/events.  Find any scheduled TI event by state, subject, keyword, proximity, product, or view events by month.  A great way to keep up with regional TI presentations, conferences, shows, and professional development opportunities.

    

·         Need a new calculator activity to support classroom instruction of a specific topic?  Try TI’s Activities Exchange at http://education.ti.com/exchange.     Thousands of classroom activities are available and now you can search by textbook, or by your state standards.  All the activities from the TI Explorations Book series have also been added to the Exchange.

  

 ·         TI User groups can be created by anyone interested in sharing information about TI technology use in their classrooms/schools and learning from other educators’ thoughts, ideas, and approaches.  To find or start a user group in your area  www.education.ti.com/us/usergroups
