Having Problems Connecting to GaVIEW Vista??

If you are connecting to the internet using AOL see the following pages first: http://www.ega.edu/email/VistaAOL.htm.

Also, before logging in, check your browser settings by either using the Check Browser link on the GaVIEW Vista entry page, or by going to one of the following sites: http://www.webct.com/tuneup; http://webct.gatech.edu/browsers/; or http://www.usg.edu/usgweb/browserchecker.

Step 1 - Make sure the time, a.m./p.m., and time zone are set up correctly on your computer.

Step 2 - Find out what your new East Georgia College email address is by going to the following site : http://www.ega.edu/email/email.asp (type in your last name then click the "Submit Query" button

Your email password is the last four digits of your social security number followed by the two-digit year of your birth. Example: If your social security number is 555-55-1234 and your birth date is 2/05/1972 then your password/pin number for email will be 123472

Please note: Your GaVIEW Vista and email passwords WILL BE DIFFERENT!!!

Step 3 - Check your EGC Student Email by going to CatMail

(Follow instructions on the page!!)

Step 4 - Read your email. You will have a message from EGC NEWS containing all your account information.

Step 5 - Go to the GaVIEW Vista site by going to this site: GaVIEW Vista

Step 6 - Click Log In

Step 7 - Enter your GaVIEW Vista user name found in the email notification.

(Hint: Same as the first part of your email address; that is, everything before the "@". I.e.: bblack@ega.edu = bblack)

Step 8 - Enter your password found in the email notification. This will not be the same as your email password! The password is case-sensitive. Be sure to enter it exactly as it is in your email notification.

Step 9 - Click OK
