What is eCore?
eCore, short for electronic core-curriculum, is a convenient and flexible option for EGSC students to complete core courses entirely online.
Free Online Textbook
Open Educational Resources (OER) are digital textbooks available inside the course at no cost to the students and are currently available in over half of eCore courses! We're all about cost savings for our students, and are working to incorporate open texts into additional classes each semester.
Free Online Tutoring
All eCore students have free unlimited access to Smarthinking, an online tutoring services. Several eCore courses also have live tutors embedded in the classes, so they're right there to help you out when you need it.
Transferability of Courses
eCore courses are transferable to all institutions within the University System of Georgia. All eCore affiliate institutions are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Colleges. (SACSCOC)
Convenience and Flexibility
eCore is designed to expand a student's educational experiences independent of time, location and physical boundaries. Students with special needs or disabilities will find a welcoming, accessible environment in eCore.
