Biography

Ms. Todd was born in Savannah, Georgia, and is a native of Glennville, Georgia. She graduated from Tattnall County High School in 1997 and went on to Georgia Southern University to pursue a degree in English. While attending Georgia Southern University, she worked as the Assistant Director of the PREP Program (Post-Secondary Readiness & Enrichment Program) where she found a passion for working with English as a Second or Other Language students. After graduating with her B.A., Ms. Todd worked as a graduate assistant at Georgia Southern University while pursuing her M.A. in English. She worked alongside professors teaching World Literature I and World Literature II courses as well as worked in the Georgia Southern University Writing Center. After obtaining her M.A in English, Ms. Todd’s love of teaching and languages led her to pursue her M.A. in Spanish. Ms. Todd worked with Upward Bound, Educational Talent Search, and the McNair Scholars at Georgia Southern University while pursuing her M.A. in Spanish. During her second year in the M.A. Spanish program, Ms. Todd began working as a full-time English Instructor at East Georgia State College. Ms. Todd has been at EGSC since 2007 and currently holds the title of Associate Professor of English and Spanish. Ms. Todd is currently pursuing her M.A in French in Athens at the University of Georgia. She hopes to be able to offer students at EGSC the option to learn, study, and appreciate a variety of languages and cultures.
