Roger C. Byrd is a part-time instructor in the Division of Social Sciences. Mr. Byrd received his bachelor's degree from Brewton-Parker College, his M.P.A. from Valdosta State University, and is currently A.B.D in Education Leadership from Valdosta State University.
Mr. Byrd currently serves as the Associate Dean of Adult Education at Oconee Fall Line Technical College and is an adjunct professor of Political Science and Criminal Justice at Brewton-Parker College. He serves on the board of trustees the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia, the board of directors of the Georgia Civic Affairs Foundation, and as a member of the Education Commission of the Georgia Baptist Convention. Mr. Byrd is also a Senior Fellow with the Philemon Institute.
Prior to his career in education, Mr. Byrd was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 1981 until 2002.
