Biography:
Dr. Mason was born in North Georgia near the Alabama/Tennessee state line. He graduated from a small rural high school with a graduation class of 34. After attending and graduating from Berry College, Dr. Mason taught chemistry, biology, and physics for several years at the high school level. He attended graduate school at Vanderbilt University. After graduate school. he was an assistant professor of health and physical education at Western Kentucky University, as the lead advancement officer for his department. He also served as Director of Continuing education and Coordinator of Off-Campus Programs at Elizabethtown Community College at the institution’s Ft. Knox instructional site. He has served on the East Georgia College since 1990. He currently holds the rank of Professor of Physical Education, and he directs the College’s academic programs in physical education and recreation.
