Room C-128TOP

To use any of the systems in this classroom, you must turn on at least 1 of the following:

• The plasma TV using the black wide remote, press the red button at the top.

• Either or both of the monitors to the front right or back of the classroom.  Press the far right button on  the front.

Use the projector and computer:

• Turn on the projector using the small silver remote that is the size of a credit card. 

• Boot the computer. 

• Using the slim black Polycom remote, press the lower left purple graphics button while aiming at the camera on top of the plasma TV.

Use the projector and Elmo:

• Turn on the projector using the small silver remote that is the size of a credit card.

• Turn on the Elmo.

• Press button 1 on the Versa tools Extron box mounted under the right front desktop.

• Using the slim black Polycom remote, press the blue camera button while aiming at the camera on top of the plasma TV.

• Then press the number for VCR/camera doc.

Use the projector and DVD/VCR:

• Turn on the projector using the small silver remote that is the size of a credit card.

• Turn on the DVD/VCR in the black cabinet.

• Press button 2 on the Versa tools Extron box mounted under the right front desktop.

• Using the slim black Polycom remote, press the blue camera button while aiming at the camera on top of the plasma TV.

• Then press the number for VCR/camera doc.

Video Conferencing / Class:

• Turn on all wall monitors and the monitor on the desktop by the Elmo.

• To make a call, press the upper left call button on the slim black remote.

• Use the red arrow keys to navigate.

• Enter IP address of the system you wish to call.

• Press the middle red enter key.

 To view Computer via projector:

• Turn projector and pc on.

• Then turn the Elmo on.

• On the Elmo, press RGB1 under the Input section and press MAIN button under the Monitor Output section.

• Be sure to press RGB button on projector remote until RGB1 displays on screen.

• Turn projector and pc on.

• Then turn on the Elmo.

• On the Elmo, press RGB1 under the Input section and press MAIN under the Monitor Output section.

• On the projector remote press the Computer button.

To view Elmo via projector:

• On the Elmo, press MAIN under the Input section and press MAIN under the Monitor Output section.

• On the projector remote press the Computer button

To view VCR/DVD or TV channels via projector:

• Turn projector and VCR/DVD on.

• Turn on the DVD/VCR with the remote

• Press Video button on the projector remote to Video 1 selection.

• To view TV / cable channels, press the VCR/TV button on the DVD/VCR remote and use the up/down buttons to change channels.

• To play a DVD or VHS tape press either the DVD or VCR button on the DVD/VCR remote and then press Play.

 To view Computer via projector:

• Turn projector and pc on.

• Then turn the Elmo on.

• On the Elmo, press RGB1 under the Input section and press MAIN under the Monitor Output section.

• On the projector remote, press the Computer button.

To view Elmo via projector:

• On the Elmo, press MAIN under the Input section and press MAIN under the Monitor Output section.

• On the projector remote press the Computer button.

To view VCR/DVD or TV channels via projector:

• Turn projector and VCR/DVD on. Turn on the DVD/VCR with the remote

• Push Video button on the projector remote to Video 1 selection.

• To view TV/ cable channels, press the VCR/TV button on the DVD/VCR remote and use the up/down buttons to change channels.

• To play a DVD or VHS tape, press either the DVD or VCR buttons on the DVD/VCR remote and then press Play.

 To view Elmo via projector:

• Turn projector and Elmo on.

• Then select Video 1 by pressing the Video button on the projector remote

To view Computer via projector:

• Turn projector and computer on.

• Then select computer by pressing the Computer button on the projector remote

To view VCR/DVD or TV channels via projector:

• Turn projector and VCR/DVD on. Turn on the DVD/VCR with the remote

• Push Video button on the projector remote to Video 1 selection.

• To view TV / cable channels, press the VCR/TV button on the DVD/VCR remote and use the up/down buttons to change channels.

• To play a DVD or VHS tape press either the DVD or VCR buttons on the DVD/VCR remote and then press Play.

 To view Computer via Projector

• Turn on the pc and the projector.

• Using the projector remote, press the RGB button until RGB 1 displays on screen.

To view Elmo via Projector

• Turn on the Elmo.

• Using the projector remote, press the Video button until Video 2 displays on screen.

To view VCR/DVD – TV channels via Projector

• Turn on the VCR/DVD player.

• To access the TV/Cable channels, press the Video button on the projector remote until Video 1 displays on screen.

• Using the VCR/DVD remote press the VCR/TV button and use the up/down arrows located at the top right hand corner of the VCR/DVD remote to change channels.

• To access the VCR/DVD, press either the VCR or DVD buttons on the VCR/DVD remote

• Then press Play.

Please be sure everything is off when finished.

VIDEO

• To view Computer via Projector:
   

  • Turn on the computer

  • Turn on Elmo and press RGB1 button on the Input tab on the Elmo.

  • Turn on the Projector with remote (press power button once).

  • Press Computer button on the projector remote until “Computer 1” displays on screen.
     

• To view Elmo via Projector:
   

  • Press the Computer button on the projector remote until “Computer 1” displays on screen.
     

• To view DVD/VCR – TV Channels via Projector:
   

  • Turn on the Projector with the remote (press power button once).

  • Turn on the DVD/VCR with the DVD/VCR remote.

  • Press Video button on the Proxima remote until “Video 1” displays on the screen.

  • To view TV channels, press the VCR/TV button on the DVD/VCR remote and use the up/down buttons to change channels.

  • To play a DVD or VHS tape, press either the DVD or VCR button on the DVD/VCR remote and then press Play on the DVD / VHS remote.

AUDIO instructions to follow in order to hear from any device

• Press the on_off button on the grey RCA speaker system remote.  The unit is located on the bottom shelf of the ELMO cart.
   

• For the cassette deck in the cabinet. 
   

  • Press the TAPE CD button on the bottom row of the remote until the display on the speaker system reads TAPE.  (Press twice.)
     

• For VHS or DVD sound from the VCR/DVD unit.
   

  • Press the AUX1 VCR button on the bottom row of the remote.
     

• For COMPUTER sound.
   

  • Press the AUX2 SAT (White label COMP) button on the bottom row of the remote.=

• Turn projector and Elmo on.

• Set projector to Computer 1 by pressing the Computer button on the projector remote

To view Computer via Projector:

• Turn projector, pc and Elmo on.

• Set projector to Computer 1 by pressing the Computer button on the projector remote

• Then press the RGB1 button on the Elmo.

To view VCR/DVD or TV channels via projector:   

• Turn projector and VCR/DVD on.

• Turn on the DVD/VCR with the remote

• Push Video button on the projector remote to Video 1 selection.

• To view TV / cable channels, press the VCR/TV button on the DVD/VCR remote and use the up/down buttons on the DVD/VCR to change channels.

 Instructions for using DVD/VCR/TV equipment in Library Conference Room

• There are 3 remotes:

  • The biggest black remote is used with the Gateway computer;

  • The straight small black remote is used with the overhead projector;

  • The white remote is used with the DVD/VCR

To view DVD or VCR via projector

• Turn on projector and DVD/VCR. Press Video button on projector remote

• Load video (DVD or VCR).

• On Emerson player, select which type of video is being played.

  • Use white remote to control and switch between DVD and VCR.

 To view Elmo via projector:

• Turn the projector on using the InFocus remote control.

• Then turn the Elmo on, power button is in the top left corner of the Elmo.

• With the InFocus remote, press the Video button until Video 1 displays on screen.

• On the Elmo, press the CAMERA button on, which is located at the bottom of the Elmo in the Input select area.

• Turn the projector and pc on.

• On the Infocus remote control, press the computer button.

To view computer, DVD disc or Elmo via projector:

• To view computer via projector:

  • On the Elmo, press RGB1 under the Input section and press RGB2 under Main Output section.

  • Next, using the Sony remote control, power on the TV that has a red dot at the bottom left of the TV cabinet.

  • This is the second TV from the left.

  • Use Polycom remote control and press NEAR button until 4 options appear at bottom of TV screen. 

  • Use the < > arrow buttons on the Polycom remote and highlight option # 2 - Elmo camera.

  • Press the ( o ) button (located in center of arrow buttons) on Polycom remote center to select the option.

  • You can power off the TV when you have completed the previous steps.

  • To power off the projector, press the Power button twice on the Proxima remote

   

• To view DVD disc via projector:

  • Follow instructions above for viewing PC.

  • Insert DVD disc in top drive on computer.

  • Use Windows Media player application to view DVD. To hear audio on DVD, power on computer speakers using knob on speaker.

  • Use knob to adjust volume.

   

• To view Elmo via projector:

  • Follow instructions above for viewing PC, but press Main button under the Input Section on Elmo camera instead of RGB1 button.

To view computer via projector:

• Using the Proxima remote control, turn the projector on. 

• Then press the computer button until Computer 1 displays on screen.

• Next, turn the Elmo on, be sure the RGB1 button is pressed under the Input section and the MAIN button is pressed under the Monitor Output section.

 Please be sure everything is off when finished
