East Georgia State College was recently recognized as a Tree Campus USA for 2019.
In order to keep our community informed about the presence of COVID-19 on EGSC campuses, the college will report the number of positive COVID-19 cases on a daily basis during business hours.
The EGSC-Statesboro and the main campus in Swainsboro began on August 17.
East Georgia State College Professor of Biology Dr. David Chevalier has been named the Interim Dean of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

With our new semester about to start, East Georgia State College is giving each employee and student three free protective face coverings.
Each year at East Georgia State College’s Fall Workshop, faculty and staff come together to meet about the upcoming school year. During the workshop, the annual Service Excellence Awards Program is held.
For the health and safety of students and staff, the financial aid office will counseling students via Zoom Counseling Sessions.
The CHOICE (Creating Higher Education Opportunities to Increase College Experiences) Program at East Georgia State College recently had four graduates complete the program in May.
Mikella Hansley, an EGSC alumni, was one of only 55 people chosen for the prestigious “Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Inc. Summer Internship Program.”
East Georgia State College graduated their second group of participants in the EGSC Staff Leadership Development Program in July.
