East Georgia State College will host a series of Tree Identification Workshops. The three-part series will begin Monday, March 19, 2018 at 12 p.m. in EGSC’s Academic Building room C-115. Mark McClellan, Regional Specialist with the Georgia Forestry Commission, will give a talk helping those in attendance learn how to identify trees. On Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10 a.m in front of the gym on EGSC’s Swainsboro campus, Dr. David Chevalier, Chair of the EGSC Biology Department, will continue the event with tree identification activities. Finally, on Monday, April 23, 2018, McClellan will present the results of the tree identification activities at 12 p.m. in EGSC’s Academic Building room C-115.
These activities are a continuing part of the EGSC Tree Campus Committee and continue to work towards EGSC’s Tree Campus initiative.
