After successfully passing both a theoretical and practical certification examination, EGSC’s P.E. Complex Coordinator/Fitness Center Director, Stacey King, is now a certified Personal Fitness Trainer as designated by American Aerobic Association International (AAAI) and the International Sports Medicine Association (ISMA), the organizations responsible for administering the credentials. Stacey also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Health and Kinesiology.
As a highly qualified personal fitness trainer, Stacey is available to establish personal training plans and offer nutritional advice to students, faculty and staff, even if they do not use EGSC’s Fitness Center. In addition to overseeing the Fitness Center and activities in the P.E. Complex, Stacey actively assists Student Life with Wellness Wednesdays, which focus on a variety of health and fitness issues each month.
AAAI/ISMA’s Global Fitness Faculty is composed of fifty of the world’s top educators, all with at least a Master’s degree, Ph.D., or M.D. Stacey’s instructor was Mike Rickett, M.S., C.S.C.S., a recent participant on the television series, Dancing With the Stars. Mr. Rickett also helped develop the exercise workout program, “Insanity.”
King is shown here with Regina Jones from EGSC Public Safety. Regina was a successful participant in one of Stacy's latest challenges.
