September 11 Remembrance Ceremony to be held

On September 11, 2015 at 9 a.m., there will be a Remembrance Ceremony at East Georgia State College at the flagpole in front of the Luck Flanders Gambrell Center. EGSC President Dr. Bob Boehmer will provide the introduction and, during a short ceremony, a wreath will be placed at the flagpole in memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Refreshments will be provided by Student Life.
This event is open to the community and all EGSC students, faculty, staff, family and friends. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to the ceremony. Military students are asked to wear their uniforms if possible.
During the week prior to September 11, a “Where Were You” memory board will be set up in the Military Resource Center, which is located in the PE Complex (Room D147). Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to visit the Center to fill out a card describing where they were when they learned of the attack on September 11, 2001.  Cards will be made available. This board will be brought to the ceremony on Friday.
Please make plans to attend this special ceremony at EGSC on September 11 this year.
