East Georgia State College recently partnered with EverFi, whose mission is to help students address critical life skills such as alcohol abuse prevention and sexual assault prevention in higher education across the country. As part of this program, EGSC asks that all students complete AlcoholEdu and Haven. This online education will be available starting August 31, 2015, and students are expected to complete part one by September 28. Part two must be completed by November 16.
To complete these course requirements, visit www.everfi.com/register and enter the registration code, which will be provided to students via email. Click “I’m a Student” to create your EverFi account. Once you have created your account and entered the registration code, you can access part one of AlcoholEdu for College. If you already have an EverFi account, log in, then enter the registration code by clicking “Add a Course” in the top right corner of the dashboard. Once you have completed part one, you will receive an invitation to complete part two within 30 – 45 days.
You will need internet access and audio capabilities to complete these courses. Students are asked to use any major web browser (e.g. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) released within the last two years to avoid technical issues. Also, students may take the course in multiple sittings.
These courses include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
Please remember that these courses will be available beginning August 31 and must be completed by September 28 for part one and November 16 for part two.
