What costs under $3,000 and will make your college experience infinitely easier? On-campus housing! East Georgia State College will have not one, but two residence halls in Fall of 2016, and we want you to join us on campus! Offering 412 beds between Bobcat Villas-West and Bobcat Villas-South, living on campus is the perfect way to engage more with your campus community and provide a great start to your college career.
Living off campus means monthly bills for not only rent, but cable, dependable wi-fi, utilities, and more. However, living in one of EGSC’s two residence halls means that not only do you have a fee for a nine-month contract that covers all of the above, you can pay for housing with financial aid. Also, for those who have a little trouble with their get-up-and-go in the mornings, living on campus saves you from a long commute, meaning you can get where you need to be on campus much more quickly.
Getting involved in campus activities is much easier when you live on campus, and the residence halls offer 24/7 safety and security, as well as immediate response and escort services available from the EGSC Police Department. There is also 24/7 staff support! Try getting all that from your average landlord.
In addition to all of these things, living on campus means you have convenient access to the library and the Academic Center for Excellence, as well as guaranteed meals Monday – Friday in the Richard L. Brown Hall and the Campus Café. There are kitchens available in each common area with a microwave, full size refrigerator, and stove.
If you’re interested in becoming an active part of the Bobcat Nation by living on campus, sign up for housing today by completing a Residence Hall Application, a Criminal Background Investigation Consent Form, and paying your $50 application fee and $200 reservation fee to the Business Office. Room selections are open to everyone on April 1, so sign up now! For more information, visit www.ega.edu/housing.
