Karen Jones, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management at East Georgia State College, was selected for the University System of Georgia’s Executive Leadership Institute. The ELI is a comprehensive, 102-hour development program facilitated by leading experts in leadership. Those selected will enhance their leadership skills to prepare for potential high-level advancement within the USG.
During the Institute, participants will have six full-day group learning sessions focused on moving participants toward an increasing depth of personal understanding. They will also receive feedback acquired from both in and outside of work and will participate in cross mentoring groups designed to promote peer-to-peer mentoring and accountability. Graduates of the program are encouraged to engage in alumni activities and continue peer mentor relationships developed at the Institute, as well as participate as mentors to future ELI scholars.
To be eligible for the ELI, participants must have been employed for a minimum of three years in higher education, have consecutive positive evaluation ratings for the last three years, demonstrate potential based on the USG leadership competencies, hold a minimum of a master’s degree and any qualifications required for the next level position and hold a current title of Vice President, Chair, Dean, Executive Director (or equivalent) or higher.
Congratulations to Jones on this achievement.
