At its recent state conference, the Georgia Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences awarded its Friends of Extension award to the Sudie A. Fulford Community Learning Center at East Georgia State College. The award recognizes outstanding support and involvement in Extension efforts. Since it opened in 2010, the Fulford Center has collaborated with the local UGA Extension office and Agent Marnie Dekle on a variety of projects including ServSafe Training, Certified Babysitter Training, Certified Teen Leader Training, Fulford Youth Leadership Academy, Camp Adventure, 4-H Cotton Boll Training, UGA Farm Bill Training, and numerous Lunch and Learn events. The conference was held at the beautiful Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens in Savannah on August 20 and 21.
