East Georgia State College is simplifying the employment process through a new online application system set to go live on Tuesday, September 10. The last day to submit paper employment applications is September 9.
The online application system keeps job applicant information up-to-date and confidential while expediting the hiring process. The system has many advantages including immediate access for hiring managers to view applications, more effective electronic correspondence with applicants, and major conservation of paper. In addition, the system will aid the College in remaining compliant with state and federal reporting requirements.
Resources are available to help individuals with the job process. Tracy Woods, Director of Human Resources, reminds applicants, “Anyone who needs ADA accommodation in the application process can contact our office for assistance. “
Migration to this new application system also fits into the College’s Service Excellence initiative that focuses on promoting faster, friendlier, and easier services, according to EGSC’s Director of Marketing and Service Excellence Ambassador, Norma Kennedy. In collaboration with a state-wide effort, the Service Excellence initiative supports EGSC’s Strategic Plan and is designed to positively impact student retention, progression, graduation, and the Complete College Georgia plan.
The online application will not be available until September 10. For information on careers at East Georgia State College, visit https://employment.ega.edu. Job seekers are encouraged to check EGSC’s employment website site often for updates.
Anyone with questions about the new job application process can call the EGSC Human Resources Office at 478-289-2035, Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.
