EGSC holds Bobcat Dash with a Splash Water Run

EGSC holds Bobcat Dash with a Splash Water Run

   On Saturday, September 26, 2015, East Georgia State College held their annual Bobcat Dash with a Splash 5K and Fun Run. This year, the “with a splash” encompassed a Water Run, with participants running through active sprinkler systems and various water stations where they were sprayed with hoses and squirt guns by volunteers. In addition to the 5K and one mile Fun Run, participants were also treated to a Kiddie Run and Tot Trot, making this a great event for all ages.
   Winning the Bobcat Dash 5K was 13-year-old Oskar Cerpovicz, who ran a personal best of 21m, 10s. Second place was Grayson Gawthrop, 14, with 21m, 48s, and third was John Moring, 57, with 21m, 55s. First place overall female was 11-year-old Andee Mackiewicz with a time of 25m, 17s. Second place overall female was Bree Wimberly, 9, with a time of 25m, 39s, followed by third place overall female, 17-year-old Jenna Wheeler, with a time of 26m, 19s.
