EGSC welcomes Sarah Fraticelli

East Georgia State College recently welcomed a new Library Associate, Sarah Fraticelli. She joins EGSC from Clayton County, Georgia.
Fraticelli earned her Bachelor’s degree from Clayton State University in Integrated Studies and her Master’s of Science in Library and Information Science from Florida State University.
“The first place I worked was an academic library, and it holds a special place in my heart,” she said. “I took the job at EGSC because I wanted to be in that environment again and wanted more responsibility.”
Fraticelli says that she is looking forward to being in an academic library again. She previously worked at a fine arts magnet high school in the media center, and enjoyed working with students. “I am so grateful. There was a lot of satisfaction in that,” she said.
“I’m excited to be here,” she said. “Clayton State was relatively small, and I loved getting to know faculty and students. I’m looking forward to that experience here and helping the EGSC Library be a great campus resource.”
“Sarah Fraticelli brings a variety of experiences from multiple types of libraries to the EGSC Library, and we are certain that her customer service and technical services background will be a great addition to our highly motivated staff,” said Amanda McKenzie, EGSC Library Director. “We are excited to add Sarah to our team and know that she will interact positively with our students, faculty, staff, and the community.”
