The East Georgia State College Police Department recently completed an audit with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The audit focused on the Georgia Crime Information Center Council mandate that all criminal justice agencies that access the Georgia Criminal Justice Information System network to assess and enforce compliance with the Rules of the GCIC Council, other relevant Georgia code sections and pertinent federal statues and regulations. These audits are done every three years to ensure compliance.
“We are very happy to have the audit behind us,” said Chief Gammon. “This is the first GCIC audit that our Police Department has had, and it gives us a great sense of accomplishment to know that we passed on our first attempt.”
“We are grateful to our Terminal Agency Coordinator, Amanda Douglas, for being the motivating force that got us through this audit,” he continued. “It was only through her hard work and persistence, that we were successful.”
