EGSC partners with community for annual Healthy U Health Fair

   The committee for the 10th annual Health U Health Fair is hard at work preparing for this year’s event, which will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 27 at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department. There will be several free screenings and lots of great information to help you be a healthier person.
   Available screenings include height and weight, blood pressure, cholesterol/glucose, hemoglobin, vision, depression and anxiety, percent body fat (BMI) and more. There will also be PSA testing for men over 50, as well as dental hygiene displays and cosmetic tips.
   Sponsors for the event are the Mill Creek Foundation, Swainsboro-Emanuel Recreation Department, Emanuel Medical Center, East Georgia Healthcare Center, East Georgia State College, Southeastern Technical College and UGA Extension.
