EGSC biology students present at Critical Thinking Conference

   Three East Georgia State College biology majors presented at the Critical Thinking Conference held at EGSC on Friday, March 25, 2016. This conference focused on critical thinking in an educational setting. The students were Lindsey Howell, Kaitlin Warren and Hailey Rials.
   Howell’s presentation was titled “Bioinformatics Approach to Identify New MicroRNAs in the Algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.” Warren’s presentation was “Preliminary Results of Water Monitoring Project Conducted on the Ohoopee River.” Rials presented “Simultaneous Extraction of Chlorophyll and Phycocyanin from Cyano-bacteria with Octanol-Water.”
