Dr. Carmine Palumbo chosen to participate in USG’s ELI Program

East Georgia State College’s Dean of Humanities, Dr. Carmine Palumbo has been chosen to participate in the University System of Georgia’s Executive Leadership Institute.
The Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) is our premier system wide leadership development program that supports continuous learning and development of USG leaders. The fifth class of the ELI begins this fall. Forty-one leaders from 29 institutions and the System Office have been determined to possess the foundation, aspiration, and potential for senior leadership roles in the System.

During the next seven months, the scholars will engage in an intensive learning experience comprised of leadership challenges, coaching, and exposure opportunities that are designed to enhance their self-awareness, broaden their perspectives, and build their social capital. Higher education is in a state of much needed change and the need for leadership development has never been greater. Our collective investment in the ELI supports our leaders in developing the core leadership competencies that are essential to the System’s future success.
Previous EGSC ELI scholars include Dr. Jeff Edgens, Dr. Donald Avery, Cliff Gay, Caroline McMillan, and Dr. David Bartram.
