“Moonlight and Magnolias” was the theme as 7 amazing young ladies competed for the title of Miss EGSC on Saturday evening, February 1. The second runner up was Anna Hodges from Baxley, a nursing student. Anna performed a vocal selection, Orange Colored Sky, for her talent and was the preliminary talent winner. First runner up was Aimee DeWitt from Eulonia, a general studies major who performed a contemporary dance to Etta James’ “At Last”. The new Miss EGSC, Harley Strickland, from Claxton, performed a tap dance routine to “I Got this Feelin’" by James Brown. Harley is a 4.0 student majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Preliminary winner in the evening wear competition was Ann Marie Hendley from Twin City, an art major. The Peoples’ Choice award was presented to Shalisa Harswell from Soperton. Shalisa is a general studies/pre-dentistry student.
