The #23 East Georgia College State Bobcats took on Georgia Highlands and continued their winning ways with a 91-64 victory.
The Bobcats went on a 22-2 run at one point in the first half, virtually putting the game out of reach as they went into the break with a 40-23 lead. The big halftime lead was made even bigger with the Bobcats starting off with a 14-2 run. That would eventually give the Bobcats a 31-point lead, ending the nights for the starters.
Tre’ Hagood failed to go into double-digit in any category, but it’s safe to say without the Bobcats getting such a large lead, he might have put up the historic quadruple-double. He had nine points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and seven steals.
D.J. Felder continued his strong play from the break, scoring 17 points with seven rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks. Jordan Johnson scored 11 points with two rebounds, six assists, and three steals.
Brian Byrd was the leader off the bench in this game, going for 15 points with three rebounds, four steals, and a block.
The win puts the Bobcats record at 16-1 overall and 8-0 in the conference as they prepare to take a trip to play Georgia Perimeter this Saturday . They will then host Chattahoochee State next Wednesday in what could be a battle of the unbeatens in the conference.
