The East Georgia State College Bobcats head into Christmas break with a 10-0 record, the first in the school’s history, and stand at 4-0 in the conference after their 92-57 win over fellow conference member Georgia Highlands.

The Bobcats struggled slightly to get any real momentum in the first half, but still went into the locker room with a 40-28 lead. The second half was a different story, as the team got into a groove offensively and quickly pulled away en route to the big win.

Jordan Johnson led the Bobcats in scoring yet again, going for 18 points with two rebounds, four assists, and a block. He continues to be the leading scorer in the conference as he continues to show strong prowess from behind the arc.

D.J. Felder put up one of his best efforts of the year, scoring 16 points with seven rebounds and an assist.

Trey Hagood continues to fill the stat line in just about every game, scoring five points with nine rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. He continues to lead the conference in steals.

Larry Bullock put up another solid game with five points, one rebound, seven assists, and one steal.

The bench came up big for the Bobcats in this game as it the lead grew with Brian Byrd and Tommy Williams were perhaps the biggest beneficiaries of this. Byrd went for 10 points with one rebound, one assist, and two steals. Williams went for 10 points with nine rebounds and one assist.

The Bobcats next game will be in the Holiday Classic Tournament in Tallahassee, FL on December 28th and 29th. The next non-tournament game will be against Florida State College on January 2nd.
