Bobcat Baseball Having A Tough Season Overall

Article by: Will Brown

The East Georgia State College Bobcat baseball team has not been able to put it all together, but as the season draws to a close, they have a chance to make another late season push and make the playoffs.

The Bobcats currently stand at 10-27 on the season and 3-17 in the conference, but they are still not mathematically out of the race and play Andrew College three times, South Georgia four times, and West Georgia Tech four times over the last 11 games.

Those are the three teams right ahead of the Bobcats and if they can take all the series, they could make the conference playoffs despite struggling for most of the season. The Bobcats have played Andrew College once, losing by a score of 10-0. They haven't played either South Georgia or West Georgia Tech.

The Bobcats have generally played close in their losses, just not quite able to get the big hit or make the play in the field to get them a win. If the bats get hot and the pitching does what it's done for most of the season, the Bobcats could make the conference tournament, where anything could happen.
