Health care expenses can represent the number one threat to retirement savings. It is estimated that the average couple will need $280,000 to cover medical expenses in retirement. The first session of the 2019 Total Wellness Series, “Finishing the Race: Understanding Long Term Care Costs and Retirement Income is scheduled for February 26, 2019 at noon at the Sudie A. Fulford Community Learning Center on the Swainsboro campus of East Georgia State College. The session is designed to educate participants on several important topics while empowering them to make informed decisions for their future so they can spend time enjoying retirement, not planning for it.
The session is free and is made possible through a partnership with East Georgia Healthcare Center, East Georgia State College, Emanuel Medical Center, Queensborough Bank and Trust, UGA Extension, and CarePartners.
