Students from all majors and areas of study are encouraged to apply. Each applicant will be asked to submit a short essay discussing how you plan to keep your student loan debt to a minimum. The award for this scholarship is $1,000 and all applications must be submitted by May 1st, 2018. At the conclusion of the application period, a committee will confer and select a winner by May 30, 2018. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by June 31, 2018.
The following people are eligible to apply for the Nationwide Debt Direct scholarship:
- High school students graduating this calendar year, and have been accepted into a college, or university in the USA.
- Students currently enrolled in a college or university, and not having reached their senior year.
- All applicants must be a U.S. citizen from the 50 states or the District of Columbia.
