The East Georgia College Bobcats got a win in their first conference game of the 2012-2013 season as they went on the road and beat South Georgia Tech by a score of 75-59.
While the game was really close at the half with the Bobcats leading 39-35, but they put up a strong second half showing while scoring at about the same clip, thus pulling away after the break.
Jordan Johnson was his usual productive self, scoring 26 points with four rebounds and two assists. He was five of 10 from behind the arc.
Tre’ HaGood continued to fill the stat sheet, scoring 16 points with eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. He continues to be one of the best all around players in the country.
Larry Bullock followed up his career day with another efficient effort, scoring eight points with four rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
D.J. Felder played well in the low post, scoring 14 points with six rebounds and a steal. Brian Pearson didn’t take a shot, but continues to show grit in the post as well as he grabbed eight rebounds and grabbing a steal.
The Bobcats play their next conference game on the road against Middle Georgia College on December 5th. A win over Middle Georgia would make the Bobcats one of the very early favorites in the conference going forward.
