The committee for the 13th annual Health U Health Fair is hard at work preparing for this year’s event, which will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 31 at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department. There will be several free screenings and lots of great information to help you be a healthier person.
The first 50 eligible families at the event will receive free produce. Available screenings include height and weight, blood pressure, HIV, vision, glucose, hemoglobin, depression and anxiety, percent body fat (BMI) and more. There will also be PSA testing for men over 50 and flu shots available.
Sponsors for the event are the Mill Creek Foundation, Swainsboro-Emanuel Recreation Department, Emanuel Medical Center, East Georgia Healthcare Center, East Georgia State College, Southeastern Technical College, Family Connection, Pruitt Health Hospice, and the Emanuel County Health Department.
