The 12th annual Health U Health Fair will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 25 at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department. There will be several free screenings and lots of great information to help you be a healthier person.
Available screenings include height and weight, blood pressure, glucose, hemoglobin, vision, depression and anxiety, percent body fat (BMI) and more. There will also be PSA testing for men over 50, and flu shots will be available. Information will also be available for underage alcohol use/smoking prevention, domestic violence outreach, hospice, senior behavioral health, continuing education, stroke education and more.
A special event at this year’s Healthy U is the addition of Public Safety Awareness Day demonstrations and displays courtesy of the local emergency services agencies. There will also be free hot dogs while supplies last.
