This week, East Georgia State College will celebrate Homecoming with a week full of activities on campus. Beginning Tuesday, February 21, the week will conclude with the crowning of EGSC’s 2017 Homecoming King and Queen on Friday, Feb. 24.
This year’s Homecoming Court is as follows: Brannon Braddock and Kayla Davis, representing Phi Theta Kappa; Morgan Scott and Maurice Sutton representing the International Club; Naomi Mason representing the EGSC Student Ambassadors; Mikella Hansley and Craig Conyers representing the Student Government Association; Kinsey Burgess representing EGSC Men’s Basketball; Leari-Jenee Jones and Phil Booker representing the Criminal Justice Club; Jasmine Fann and Brandyn Snyder representing Bobcat Cheerleading; Shunseere Kent representing EGSC Women’s Basketball; and Myranda Hand representing EGSC Softball. Where applicable, Court members will be escorted by members of the SGA.
Tuesday’s activities kick off Homecoming with a blood drive from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Quad.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, there will be a Ballot Blowout! Students can vote for the Homecoming King and Queen from 9 – 11 a.m. in the Luck F. Gambrell Center Rotunda, and then from 12 – 5 p.m. in the JAM Center. At 11 a.m., campus’s favorite hypnotist, Chris Jones, will perform in the Luck F. Gambrell Center Auditorium for all to enjoy. As if that wasn’t enough, the Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime of the EGSC Men’s Bobcat Basketball game, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
Voting will continue on Thursday from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. in the JAM Center, and the Arrive Alive Tour will be in the Quad from 2 – 7 p.m.
The event campus has been waiting for will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday. Green and Gold—Never Fold Casino Night will run until 9 p.m. at the Fulford Center and will feature a night of casino-style games as well as music and fun, with a cash prize as well! The Homecoming King and Queen will also be announced during this special event.
