On November 13 and 14, East Georgia State College – Statesboro will present the Murder Mystery Dessert Theatre production of Just Desserts by Craig Sodaro. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the play begins at 8 p.m.
In this audience participation mystery Judge Reginald P. Cogsworth, a curmudgeon who hates sweets, is judging a charity bakeoff, albeit grudgingly. Countless entries have been whittled down to three bakers: Lucy "Scooter" Bright, owner of a nail salon; Edna Mae Carter, the local librarian; and Margret Mason, a local society lady. In the middle of the tasting all the goodies, someone ends up dead, and it's up to Miss Peabody, head of the contest, and the audience to determine the murderer.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for senior citizens and those with an EGSC ID. For reservations, please call 912-623-2400 or visit www.ega.edu/justdesserts.
Ticket includes admission to the show and dessert.
