
The Sudie A. Fulford Community Learning Center on the Swainsboro campus of East Georgia State College will host its 8th Annual Family Astronomy Night Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. A host of fun-filled activities are planned for the event.
Astronomy Consultant, Tom Faller, will provide an assortment of telescopes for sky observation, and a variety of hands-on science activities will be provided by EGSC science instructors, as well as Erin Youmans, Magnolia Midlands GYSTC Coordinator. Two planetarium shows are scheduled for 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
A computer lab will allow visitors to take part in NASA interactive activities and experience live streaming from the International Space Station.
The event is free and open to the public.
