EGSC Library Associate Selected to Attend Georgia Archives Institute

Constance Wade, Library Associate at East Georgia State College, was selected to attend the two-week long summer Georgia Archives Institute. A recipient of the competitive Sarah O. Dunaway Scholarship sponsored by the Friends of Georgia Archives and History, Ms. Wade will spend her time at the Georgia Archives in Morrow, Georgia being provided with a comprehensive introduction to the concepts and practices of managing all formats of documentary materials in archival repositories. Emphasis will be placed on arrangement and description. Additional topics will include selection and appraisal, acquisitions and accessioning, reference and access issues, legal and administrative issues, and electronic records. She will also attend classes on preservation and complete an internship at an Atlanta-based special collection/archive. The East Georgia State College Library could not be more proud of this accomplishment!
