East Georgia State College professors Dr. Tom Caiazzo and Daniel Mancill recently published their new book, Georgia Politics Today. The book’s foreword was written by Georgia State Senator Jack Hill. The book also features a chapter on higher education in Georgia written by EGSC’s President, Dr. Bob Boehmer.
“This book will serve as both a stand-alone text for state and local politics, as well as an online supplement for American Government classes,” said Dr. Caiazzo.
Professor Mancill added, “This book examines Georgia politics in a very scholarly, yet student-friendly, manner, so that they can understand politics from the local and state perspective.”
Dr. Caiazzo and Professor Mancill teach political science classes at EGSC’s Statesboro campus. Dr. Caiazzo has been with EGSC for nearly 13 years and Mancill for nine. Dr. Caiazzo is originally from New York and Mancill from Mississippi, but the former now lives in Statesboro with his wife, Janet, and one son, Dante, while the latter resides in Springfield with his wife, Colleen.
