EGSC professor named director for Georgia Association for Nursing Education

The East Georgia State College Department of Nursing would like to congratulate Dr. Patrice Pierce, Associate Professor of Nursing, in her recent poster presentation and selection as a director for the Georgia Association for Nursing Education, Inc. (GANE). She attended the annual GANE conference that was held at Jekyll Island, Georgia.

GANE provides all nursing educators in the state of Georgia with opportunities to:
• influence and improve nursing education
• impact nursing practice
• improve health care for the citizens of Georgia
• promote nursing research, and
• collaborate with other health care disciplines and organizations

GANE is comprised of a Board of Directors from all across the state, each representing a specific region of the state. The directors work with colleges and universities, technical programs, hospitals, and health care agencies in that region. It is the practice of members of GANE to select board members during the annual conference. This year Dr. Pierce was selected as the Director of the Central Region of Georgia.

Congratulations, Dr. Pierce. EGSC is proud of your service and representation of the RN-BSN Bridge Program at EGSC.
