EGSC observes Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and East Georgia State College has several activities planned on campus to recognize this important issue.
On April 14, EGSC faculty, staff and students are asked to wear teal to show their support for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. April 18 will see EGSC “Take Back the Day” at 4 p.m. with a one-mile walk in support of victims and survivors of sexual assault. The walk will begin at the front of the Luck F. Gambrell Building. April 26 is National Denim Day, and everyone is asked to make a social statement with their fashion statement by wearing denim to increase awareness.
There are also Awareness tables set up across EGSC’s campus throughout the month of April. These tables offer resources and information, as well as teal ribbons to wear in support of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
