East Georgia State College is pleased to announce that Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has awarded EGSC a $10,000 scholarship grant.

Thanks to a grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, $10,000 will be available for student scholarships for the EGSC Fire and Emergency Services Administration Program.  The award notification was made last week to Professor Beverley Walker, Director of the FESA program. Meghan Vargas, Director of Development for the Foundation announced the award, stating, “We are very excited to assist your organization and ultimately improve the lifesaving capabilities of your community.”

East Georgia State College offers both an associate and bachelor degree in Fire and Emergency Services Administration.  The degrees are focused on prevention, management, administration and safety.

“Our program follows the design set forth by the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) curriculum created at the National Fire Academy.  The Bachelor of Arts in Fire and Emergency Services Administration will create a career pathway for Fire, EMS, EMA, law enforcement, and others interested in public affairs management,” said Director Walker.
