On September 21, 2019, East Georgia State College will hold Family and Friends Fun Day at the Swainsboro campus. Beginning with the Duct Tape Regatta at 11 a.m., the day will feature fun and excitement for all ages!
Bring the whole family to enjoy watching the Duct Tape Regatta, then visit EGSC Club Booths for different treats and giveaways. There will also be a large inflatable slide, chalk art, T-shirt booth, a barrel train for kids and more—and don’t forget free food!
The Duct Tape Regatta race will begin at 11 a.m. Check in for the Regatta begins at 10 a.m. Anyone is welcome to participate, but boats must be made of flat cardboard and duct tape—nothing else! The boat must have a bottom and sides (no paddleboards, etc.) and there can only be two people in the boat during the race. Team members must be on both sides of the pond to help with the launch of the boat and to pull the boat out again, and participants must use oars and life vests provided by EGSC. Awards will be presented to the fastest and overall winner of the race, the most creative, and the Titanic Award presented to the boat that sinks the most dramatically. Contact Stacey Grant at 478-289-2105 or email@example.com for more information.
A Chalk Art Competition will be going on that day as well. Contact Desmal Purcell at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
This is a great day of free fun for all at East Georgia State College. We can’t wait to see you on our beautiful campus, located at 131 College Circle in Swainsboro.
