Disc Golf Bag-Tag Challenge to be held at EGSC

The Sport and Recreation Club of East Georgia State College will run a Disc Golf Bag-Tag Challenge from October 21, 2017 through January 20, 2018.
A Bag-Tag Challenge is an extended tournament consisting of a one-day kick-off round followed by several months of one-on-one challenge matches. The challenge opens with the Piney Woods Open on October 21 (a tournament of two-player teams, $5 entry fee). Participants in the challenge will be awarded tags based on their tournament score. From there, players attempt to climb to the top of the standings by challenging players in the tier immediately above them; when the lower-ranked player wins a challenge, the players swap tags.
The tournament is open to the community. Participants must be willing to play a weekly round. Entry fee is $15; prize money will be awarded to the top three finishers. The field is limited to 28 players.
The Sport and Recreation Club hopes to establish a Piney Woods Disc Golf Club for community members who enjoy disc golf and play on the EGSC Piney Woods Disc Golf Course.
