The application for EGSC’s COVID-19 Relief Fund is now live at https://direc.to/dKz9. These funds, received from private donors to help students who have had their education at East Georgia State College affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, will be awarded to six students.
To receive an award from this fund, students must apply at https://direc.to/dKz9 by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020 and meet the following criteria:
• Must be registered for Spring 2020 for a minimum of 6 hours
• Must be in good academic standing, defined as a 2.0 or greater cumulative EGSC GPA
• Must provide written statement outlining the impact of COVID-19 on your education at EGSC
The funding is intended for students whose education at EGSC has directly been impacted by COVID-19. The student must write a statement outlining the impact of COVID-19 in their application. Expenses include food, housing and other necessities and expenses that may be explained in their impact statement. Priority will be given to students not receiving funding from other government or private sources relative to the affects of COVID-19.
A maximum award of $250 per student will be given to six students, and decisions will be made by the EGSC Scholarship Committee within one day of the deadline. Funds will be distributed to students via their BankMobile account.
