Chief Gammon selected for CLIP

East Georgia State College’s Police Chief, Wiley Gammon, has been selected for Class #2 for the Chief’s Leadership Initiative Program. This program is part of the Chancellor’s Safety Initiative Committee recommendations approved by the Board of Regents in the May 2015 meeting. The purpose of this program is to assist those selected in enhancing existing leadership skills and the performance of their agency in protecting campus communities.
Chief Gammon will receive training in a traditional method and then asked to implement what he has learned with the support of program mentors. The program consists of a series of training programs, hands-on tasks, and class discussions/presentations delivered through in-person meetings, online courses, webinar meetings and projects.
“It is quite an honor to be selected for Class #2, and I will do my very best to make the College proud,” said Chief Gammon on his selection.
Congratulations to Chief Gammon on this achievement!
