Big Day Saturday as EGSC Bobcats “Pink Out to Fight for a Cure”

Saturday, February 20, will be a memorable day at East Georgia State College.  For the first time ever, all 4 teams will be playing at home on the same day.  It will mark the season opening home games for Bobcat Softball and Baseball and the season closing home games for the Bobcat Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams.
Action will begin at 1 PM as the Lady Bobcats take on Spartanburg Methodist College in the first of a double-header on the softball diamond.  Also, playing at 1 PM on the adjoining baseball field, the Bobcat Men face USC – Lancaster.  Second games for both will begin at 3 PM.
Meanwhile, in the gym, the Bobcat Women will be up against Andrew College at 2 PM and the Bobcat Men face off against rival Gordon College at 4 PM.
During halftime of the women’s and men’s basketball games, the sophomore Bobcat athletes will be recognized.
There will be no charge to attend any of the games.  The athletic department will be selling concessions, including grilled hamburgers and hot dogs.  All profits will go to the battle to find a cure for cancer.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to come out and support the effort.  Bring your lawn chairs – the current weather calls for 75 degrees!!
